Born Osarobo Asemota, Bobo Large got into music as one of the members of Good fellas crew which he founded in the mid 90’s, just out of high school. Soon after gaining recognition with his first mixtape which gained massive airplay and made him one of the pioneers of southern hip hop, he took a break to study and earn a degree in
Electrical/electronic engineering from Ambrose Ali University (Ekpoma). He made his way back to the music scene in 2013 releasing critically acclaimed and well receive mixtape ‘Tha bomb theory mixtape’, where he spawn success from the smash hardcore rap singles ‘Bomb’ and ‘Underground king which featured production from frenzy and video received airplay all over the country.
His break out from the underground hardcore scene helped him gain a massive acceptance in South Africa with a release in 2015 titled ‘looking for me’ Bobo Large’s unique lyrical and hard-core conscious style has made him one of the few hip hop lyricists still holding hip hop/Rap to high esteem.
